The Advent Calendar Review

Image
The Advent  Calendars Welcome back to my blog!  I am excited to be reviewing advent calendars in this post.  For this review I purchased the 5 flavours of Hotel Chocolat's standard advent calendar (£12.50 each). The flavours are white chocolate, milk chocolate, dark chocolate (vegan), caramel chocolate and nut milk (vegan). The calendars contain 24 solid chocolates in various Christmas shapes which are very detailed. Hotel Chocolat also sell a range of other advent calendars such as their children's penguin advent calendar and the grand advent calendar which includes multiple chocolate and alcohol products. Nevertheless, I chose to review their standard advent calendar range.  There are now two options for vegans (the nutmilk and the dark) so there is a calendar in this range for everyone. Advent Calendars Packaging Review... I really love the packaging of these advent calendars it is very good quality, classy and festive. My favourite advent calendars in terms ...

Favourite Selectors

Image
Selectors   One of Hotel Chocolat's most popular products are their selectors. There is a   wide selection of fancy chocolate options (containing 6) and bars to choose from. You can purchase 3 of the selector products for £12 or they are £4.50. In this post I will be talking about my top 3 favourite selector products: the Raspberry Pannacotta chocolates, the White Collection chocolates and the Cookies & Milk bar. Each Chocolate Centre Reviews... Raspberry Pannacotta Firstly, my favourite - the Raspberry Pannacotta. Raspberry Pannacotta -   Layers on inside  -   Hard outer shell -   Soft, creamy centre -   Mix of raspberry and white chocolate -   Not too sweet – tang of raspberry  -   Vanilla  -   Good aftertaste -   One chocolate feels like a lot                - Is quite a big chocolate White collection I also chose the White Collection which contains 3 different chocolates...

Autumn Product Review

Image
Welcome back to my blog! In this post I will be reviewing the The Seasonal (Autumn) H-box from Hotel Chocolat (£13.50).  The Seasonal H-box     I really love the packaging of this box. It is very Autumnal, good quality and looks expensive. Like the Halloween box, you can also get a free sleeve in the Autumn pattern to put on the other flavoured chocolate boxes.     Overall, I would definitely recommend this box and I prefer the chocolate selection to the Halloween H-box previously reviewed. Menu Reviews... Apple Crumble          Very deep, nice crumble on top, apple tang and cinnamon, not too sweet,  very nice, my  Favourite!      Unfortunately this is only sold as part of the box not separately as a selector, but a similar Apple Strudel is sold Signature Praline         Mix between white, milk and dark, nutty, really good, very smooth centre, not that sweet Chocolates Peanut Butter...

Halloween Product Review

For this post I decided to review Hotel Chocolat's Halloween products. I tried the Halloween Bites H-box (£13.50) and the Yumpkin (£6) with my family. Halloween H-box The Halloween Bites H-box contains 14 chocolates (all alcohol free) and unlike most other H-boxes, there are two of most of the chocolates in the box. Two of the chocolates are sold separately all year (mentioned in the reviews). The box has very nice, bright packaging which is good quality. You can also get a free Halloween box sleeve that can be put on any of the chocolate boxes for Halloween.  Overall, there was a very good selection of milk, dark, white, caramel and praline chocolates in this box. I would recommend the H-box over the Yumpkin. Menu H-box Review... Oozy Eyes - White -         Very soft centre, thick outer layer, runny caramel, sweet  Spooky Spider -         Rich, not that peanutty more salty, subtle, nice, qu...

"The Everything Selection" Hot Chocolate Review

Image
For my first blog post I have reviewed the different hot chocolate flavours from the  Hotel Chocolat "The Everything Selection" hot chocolate box (£14). I used the Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser,   a hot  chocolate machine  specifically designed for their hot chocolates. The Everything Selection hot chocolate box contains 10  sachets which are all different flavours.  There are some Hotel Chocolat hot chocolate  flavours that are not included in the box such as  Black Forest Gateau. With 3 of my friends, we tried and commented on the 10  hot chocolate flavours.  Around half of the flavours  are vegan if you use plant milk and we tried 4 using  oat milk (written in purple). Reviews... 1.       Ginger  a.       Smells very nice, tastes like Christmas, strong, ginger kick at the end, not that chocolatey, strong aftertaste, rich         ...
